This basis of this creative writing project was to write a poem using twenty different literary divides like similes, and onomatapea and such. That is what the numbers are for, so just ignore them. All in all I am very happy with the way it turned out. :)
"My Star"
1.) In this darkness he shimmers with light.
2.) Shoot for the moon! Even if I miss, I will land among the stars!
3.)Never mind that one touch of those stars will sear my body with flame.
4.)From here those lights taste of flame, and they sing with flares.
5.) Sarah stands poised at the edge of the Milky Way, arms held outward.
6.) The distant worlds glitter like diamonds.
7.) But to me they also look like the blank marble gaze of corpses.
8.) I wound up here after 26 years of cock blocking.
9.) Even light years away I still hear the sirens blaring, the waves roiling as they crept in-land.
10. "Yo, peep up at da stars, what the fuck 'sup now?"
11.) The gauzy nebulas color in the darkness between the stars, that hover below my feet.
12.) The touch of the stars enshrouds me in ecstasy.
13.) I leap from the Milky Way's gauzy edge and fly boldly into the darkness.
14.)Auntie Slytherin told Willow horror stories of Cthulhu who flew from the darkness between the stars.
15.) But I think I can brave Cthulhu if it means I shall find my guiding light and bask in his rays.
16.) Silently, I pray for the Universe to give me a hand..and I laugh.
17.) "Hah! Well you asked me to chose! Snake or drapes? " Than I am singing;
18.) "Du bist die hellste Stern von allien!" *
3.) And still...I never mind that one touch of those stars will sear my body with flame.
19.) With his beams of light, my star reaches out, holds me to his core and kisses my flesh.
20.) "But...." I whisper and whimper, "his name means scotching light!"
* "You are the brightest star of them all."
